BEST WAY TO CHOOSE A REAL ESTATE SCHOOL

August 19, 20222 min read

When you’re thinking of becoming a real estate broker, the first step you need to take is to figure out what you need to do to prepare for the state licensure exam. You’ll most likely need to find a real estate school to help get you ready to ace the exam. Here are some important factors to consider when evaluating real estate schools.

Our first piece of advice would be to find a school that works with your life. If you’re a busy working parent looking to switch fields, you likely don’t have time to attend in-person classes, so a school with online classes is probably the best fit for you.

We offer a variety of online classes, including the Mortgage Broker Course, Nationwide Appraisal Course, Multi-State Pre-License, and Multi-State Reciprocity Course.

Or, if you know that you learn best in a classroom setting, a school that offers in-person classes will make the most sense for you. Another advantage of in-person classes is that you get to meet other students who are just getting started on the path to becoming a real estate broker. Connections you make in class might serve you later on in the form of business networks and you’ll likely enjoy having other students you can study with. At Inland Real Estate School, we offer many different options to cater to as many students as possible.

We have a classroom program designed to provide you with an understanding of the law and its application. Students can participate in on-site lectures, which meet Monday through Saturday for 3 weeks, or they can tune in via live webinar. We also offer home study, online course options, and one-on-one tutoring services.

Another important factor to consider when choosing a real estate school is their pass rates on the state licensure exam. You don’t want to work with a school whose pass rates are subpar in comparison to other schools in your area. At Inland Real Estate School, we pride ourselves on the fact that our students have a higher than average pass rate on the Illinois State licensure exam. We have 60-plus combined years of experience providing education and training to Illinois students and reciprocal states in the real estate community.

Lastly, when considering working with a real estate school, look at their reviews and testimonials. You want to see a strong base of students that have had a positive experience working with the school, so you can trust that the school you choose is going to help you reach your goals, and stand by you. Look out for any potential red flags or signs that the school might not work with your life or learning style. If you’re thinking about working with us, you can read through our testimonials here!
